I strongly recommend ($vote +alot) removing the example with the phone number from the examples page. You should not encourage people to post personal contact information in a public place. There is too much potential for misuse. People may not want that information in the public record.

If people need to send contact information via Twitter, they should do so via a direct message, and then only if they really need to.

Thanks Anthony, I agree that we don't want to advocate posting personal info, but that example usage is still valid in private messages and hidden updates, or in cases where phone numbers are meant for public consumption.
